Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to File Orbit Cloud, including File Orbit login, safety-net storage, sharing, and APIs.

File Orbit is built so your home copies stay under your control. We do not mine your libraries for advertising, profiling, or training models on your files. That sovereignty stance has a hard limit: File Orbit Cloud is not a dark-web drop, not anonymous illegal hosting, and not a place to hide content that harms minors.

Harm to minors

We will not tolerate child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers minors, on File Orbit Cloud.

This is an explicit exception to our sovereignty stance. If such content is on Cloud or safety-net storage we operate, we will make it inaccessible, suspend or terminate the related account, report it to the appropriate authorities, and cooperate with lawful investigations. There is no warning for this category of abuse.

Do not store, share, link to, or attempt to upload this material. If that is what you came for, leave.

Other prohibited uses

You also may not use File Orbit Cloud to:

  • Store or share other illegal content.
  • Upload malware, ransomware, or content designed to harm devices or networks.
  • Infringe copyright, trademark, or other rights of others.
  • Harass, threaten, or dox people, or share others' private information without permission.
  • Probe, overload, or disrupt File Orbit Cloud, the mesh, or other customers' Places.
  • Bypass quotas, entitlements, authentication, or rate limits.
  • Use Cloud as an anonymous drop for mass distribution of spam or phishing.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a way that enables fraud.

Enforcement

We investigate abuse reports and may disable Cloud content or accounts when required by law or to protect the service.

For harm to minors, making the content inaccessible and reporting to authorities is mandatory.

For other AUP violations we may suspend or terminate Cloud access, remove content from safety-net storage we operate, or report activity to authorities when we believe it is necessary.

Reporting

Report harm to minors, illegal content, or other AUP violations to report@fileorbit.cloud. Include enough detail for us to locate the account or content. We treat reports about minors as urgent.

Paid File Orbit login customers may also open a Support ticket at support.fileorbit.cloud. Prefer report@fileorbit.cloud when the report is about harmful content.
